Fundraising Dinner
Dear Convivium Leader,
I am writing to you because I have heard about the excellent fundraising
dinner that you held recently along the theme of 'A World of Presidia
and Food Communities' to raise funds for Slow Food UK and its
biodiversity projects.
I am more and more convinced that this type of initiative shows the
importance of linking producers and co-producers by helping to improve
the understanding that food is good from an organoleptic point of view,
sustainable for the environment and fair at a social level.
I am delighted to hear that it was a great success, not only for those
who worked so hard to make the event happen, but also for the sponsors
who offered their support.
All of us here at the Slow Food headquarters are completely at your
disposal for sharing ideas, thoughts and comments and for giving you as
much support as possible to assist the development of the movement in
the UK.
I would like to take this occasion to thank you for all the efforts and
energies that you continue to give to spread the Slow Food word in your
country, and I would also like to wish you all the best for the opening
of the next Slow Food national office in Ludlow.
Looking forward to seeing you at Terra Madre in October.
