The finest olives from Olives et Al, plump fresh figs, and marinated
Slow Food Presidium Cornish salt pilchards, accompanied by Grana Padano
Cheese & Rosemary Focaccia bread served with dipping oil and accompanied
by the dulcet tones and biting satire of Murray Lachlan Young
followed by a Short film including an interview with Slow Food
founder Carlo Petrini.
Braesola and Smoked Almond Salad Delicious slivers of Farmer
Sharp’s air dried Herdwick mutton from the Slow Food Ark, over a medley
of summer leaves with a scattering of oak smoked almonds and finished
with a zesty lemon dressing.
Char-grilled Gurnard with Wild Garlic Butter Succulent fillet of
sustainable Gurnard served on a bed of crushed early Cornish
potatoes and wilted mustard leaves, dressed with melting Cornish butter
infused with an abundance of local, wild Ramson leaves, served with St
Austell Clouded Yellow.
Vanilla Panna Cotta with Balsamic Strawberries
Our fabulous local cream is perfect for this classic Italian dessert,
flavoured with vanilla pods and accompanied by fresh Boddington’s
Cornish Strawberries and a drizzle of balsamic syrup, served with
Cornish Orchards `Harvest Inspiration’

Featuring the UK’s most authentic Slow Food Presidia cheeses from
Gloucestershire, Somerset and Lancashire – but the main event is the
battle of the crumbly cheeses:- Whalesborough Farm’s Cornish Crumbly
versus Kirkham’s Lancashire, accompanied by Worcestershire Slow Food

The Slow Food Cornwall World of Taste Dinner, sponsored by Grana Padano
cheese, is accompanied by selected beverages for particular courses as
noted. We will also be enjoying Sicilian wines provided by Slow Food
Italy from small Sicilian producers:
Mandrarossa Fiano (white), Mandrarossa Grecanico (white), Nero D’Avola
(red) and Mandrarossa Sirah (red). Cornish Orchards (non alcoholic
Cornish Orchard Reserved Pressing), Cornish Water and soft drinks will
also be served).
