As part of the UK launch of Carlo Petrini's new book, Slow Food Nation, Carlo will deliver the inaugural "Future of Food" annual lecture, taking place at 7pm on Friday 8th June 2007 at London's Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA, 8 John Adam Street, WC2N 6EZ: www.rsa.org.uk). In addition to Carlo's main address, Zac Goldsmith of The Ecologist and Professor Tim Lang, Professor of Food Policy at City University will also make presentations at the event. Doors will open at 6.30pm. Tickets are £10 (I should know next week about the refreshments included in this).

This is a rare chance to hear Carlo speak in the UK, and have a book signed by him - books will be available for purchase on the evening; or you can pre-buy at Waterstone's and bring along for signature.

Ticket availability is really limited, due to the involvement of three organisations: Slow Food, The Ecologist and Daylesford Organic, each of whom has a set allocation.
