Slow Food Cornwall is now in its third year and we have a number of fantastic events and partnerships to celebrate as well as future events and developments for you to enjoy and get involved with. One of the key developments that came out of the International Congress in Mexico was the official recognition of young people in the movement.

A group of students formally presented a request to incorporate the International Youth Food Movement into Slow Food culture and it was passed. Regional groups are encouraged to connect with younger people through educational institutions and by creating events that will appeal more widely to younger people. SFC is proud to have preempted this development with last year's Hog Jam (See above) and a DVD of the event will be shown at the forthcoming AGM. Our Chair is also the UK Coordinator for the International Youth Food Movement and has recruited nearly 30 delegates nation wide to attend Terra Madre this year. Two of the delegates come from right here in Cornwall.

Slow Food is a membership driven organisation, so we hope that you will be inspired to get involved and help define Slow Food's future path in Cornwall.
